Kiriakos Vavelidis

Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Kiriakos Vavelidis holds degrees in Economics (Dipl. Volkswirt) and Banking Management (Dipl. Bankbetriebswirt) and is a Certified Internal Auditor. Since 1995 he has worked in various roles conducting annual audits, internal reviews, and regulatory and strategic consulting projects for commercial banks, cooperative banks, foreign banks, specialised finance institutions, investment management companies, and insurance firms of varying sizes in Germany and abroad. Since 2011 he has been serving as Managing Director at Commerzbank AG, where he also acts as Safeguarding Officer. He has extensive experience delivering seminars and presentations on the topics of anti-money laundering, compliance, risk management, transaction banking, and internal audit.

Prof. Dr. Jama Jahanyar, MD PhD FACS

Member of the Supervisory Board

German-American cardiac surgeon and scientist with over 25 years of clinical experience at leading centres worldwide — including the Mayo Clinic, Harvard Medical School, Stanford and the Université catholique de Louvain (Brussels). Specialist in heart valve reconstruction, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Author of over 100 scientific publications, Professor of Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
